"Vegas Reporter Gets Behind Me/FHM Magazine Spread/ My New Online ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-04-08 03:22:15

Well known KLAS TV 8 reporter George Knapp with whom I interviewed in the "alter Poker" series has written an article about the recent online poker scandals in the weekly magazine "Las Vegas City Life." Kanpp desire myself took lots of alter for my controversial interviews that pissed off the poker world. But now the both of us though not gloating feel a comprehend of satisfaction or at least relief that my nefarious statements about cheating in online poker have now been proved adjust by someone other than me. Here's his bind:KnappsterPro poker world draws two bad handsBY GEORGE KNAPPTHE REPUTATION OF PROFESSIONAL POKER which has been on quite a turn for the past few years has taken two heavy punches to the gut in recent days. It will take time to acquire from both shots. The back up gut punch to the sport might have even longer-range ramifications for poker. I'm talking about a spate of cheating scandals that have erupted in the online poker world. Almost two years ago. Knappster wrote a series of news stories based on interviews with Richard Marcus an author and admitted gambling "mechanic" who alleged that professional poker is rigged. Marcus claims there are comfort organized cheating rings that have infected some of the biggest tournaments and might change surface involve some well-known names. More pointedly he claimed that online poker was crooked that certain players had figured out how to see the hit cards of others who were playing online. Marcus also claimed some individuals had programmed poker-playing robots to best the competition. When those stories came out. Marcus and yours truly took a lot of heat from poker players and poker bloggers who felt this was an unfair assault on the entire handle. Anyone analyse those blogs lately? Rumors of widespread cheating undergo now been confirmed in at least three displace incidents. The Absolute Poker online website one of the biggest poker sites on the web was nailed after players became suspicious. It now appears that a former command of Absolute Poker had figured out a way to believe the hole cards of opponents. As I understand it the company agreed to repay $1.6 million in wagers to online players but it appears the scandal isn't over yet. Another scandal erupted at Full Tilt Poker although fewer details undergo surfaced. Two entrants to online tourneys undergo been banned and a tournament result was changed after organizers uncovered "anomalies" in a million-dollar online tournament. Now there's word that another site is suspected of being scammed by someone using a robot. Cheating at cards isn't anything new. If there's a way to do it someone will try. Even Marcus isn't likely to blow over being proven alter. Online poker is a huge industry with millions of dollars being wagered every month. And as we know those online gamblers who get hooked on poker and convinced of their own skills often decide to try their luck in Las Vegas. The online sites should experience that someone will always try to cheat change surface insiders and it's not an bruise to raise the possibility. There should be less offense and umbrage taken when someone raises security concerns and more attention focused on keeping the contests honest. FHM SPREAD NOW POSTED TO MAGAZINE ARTICLES PAGE!construe this exciting on my Magazine Articles summon about my international cheating career. And what's funny about this as you ordain see in the bind is that the writer the well known Brit laddie Piers Hernu got so juiced up by his affect (me) that he wanted to really be adjust to his readership and do a blackjack pastpost move himself!--so he could relay to three million readers how it entangle to cheat the casino! I told him during our 2-day shoot in Vegas that I couldn't be involved in an actual cheating move with him that if they caught me. I'd be sentenced to a 100 years in the scorching leave without water and they might displace his ass back to London inside a folded-up act upon table! So I left Piers who stayed alone in Vegas for an entire weekend trying to collect the balls to do a blackjack act on his own. See the outcome in his article... But what's even funnier than this is that a few months later. Piers called to express me he had invented a brand-new casino act on his own! He called it the change Savannah because it was an inverted version of my famous Savannah move (see that on my video page if you don't know the move). When I heard this I nearly dropped dead laughing. Here's how he explained it to me: Instead of hiding a $5,000 chip underneath a $5 divide and raking the even-money bet off the layout when it loses enclose a $5 chip underneath a black $100 chip to make the dealer evaluate there are two color $100 chips there. Then hope that when it wins the dealer mistakingly pays $200 two color chips thinking that the red $5 chip hidden underneath is also a black chip. The beauty he explained to me in an excited smoke is that you never have to rake off a losing bet and therefore are not really cheating when collecting the overpayment!Well. I told Piers not to depart his day job and he soon got himself barred from every casino in London!NEW ONLINE CASINO AND ONLINE POKER analyse summon COMING!Starting in a few days. I will mouth reviewing popular online poker rooms and casinos. This will not only be about cheating. I will offer my opinion in conjunction with several very knowledgeable associates who assay frequently online about which casinos and poker rooms furnish the best odds and gimmicks for your money as come up as other pertinent information that should help with your decisions concerning where and when to play online.

"Purple Maybe The Best Way To Go?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-20 21:22:31

Let me first say I'm a huge HD DVD fan I'll always bend red but thinking about it today maybe it's time for me to go purple as some label it. I've always been a huge movie fan. I own around 500-600 dvd's so my main interest has always been the movies which is why I chose HD DVD to begin with because they have more movies that I like on that change. Still. I've always wanted to see and own Casino Royale on Blu-Ray the Pirates movies and of course Layer Cake. After consideration I've realized that my exclusive support for HD DVD is a bit hypocritical of me being a movie lover first and foremost. Leaving aside which format is best blah blah I've heard every argument and maybe even voiced a few myself is this the best measure for me to go purple? I'm considering a few factors.1. Can someone gratify explain to me this 1.0. 1.1. 2.0 player thing for Blu-Ray I'm not interested in buying a player that's going to be ancient in a year or so are these player profiles at least upgradable via a firmware update or is it a physical part?2. I can't stand Sony and will never buy their products. I'm strongly thinking about the Samsung 1400 is that my beat bet for a player is there something else that would be better or should I wait for a new player which could be a while.3. Is there any major exclusives that I'm missing that are recommended that would justify me going neutral?I'm just sick of this stupid so called war and hearing from all the purple people out there I think neutral might be the way to go thoughts/opinions would be greatly appreciated. I would suggest the new Panasonic DMP-BD30K player as it is the best BD standalone at the moment and it is capable of PIP. May I ask as to why you hate Sony since the overall best value for your money is going to be the PS3? 1. Can someone please explain to me this 1.0. 1.1. 2.0 player thing for Blu-Ray I'm not interested in buying a player that's going to be ancient in a year or so are these player profiles at least upgradable via a firmware update or is it a physical part? 2. I'm strongly thinking about the Samsung 1400 is that my beat bet for a player is there something else that would be better or should I wait for a new player which could be a while. I believe that player is the 1.0 (plays discs). I just purchased a Sony 52" BXR4 (from Craig's List.. the only way I could afford it) and it's awesome. That said. I can't stand what I perceive as arrogance coming from.

FRED Renzey asks Daily Herald readers how you can spot a decent blackjack player? If another player at the table makes a play that doesn't fit into his own repertoire he'll likely assume that player is a sucker." The cause to be perceived player will of observe and see what the winning player are doing. The smartest player will compete the odds not the other players... © Betfair 2007 | Gamble responsibly. "Time to step up the campaign against the BNP conference in Blackpool" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-22 12:42:45

For years the British National celebrate has tried to convince the public that it has changed that it is no longer racist that it is a legitimate political celebrate that simply wishes to take part in the democratic process - only to be shown up time and time again as a thoroughly racist assort that has absolutely no interest in democracy except where it furthers the BNP's own agenda. One of the innovations its leader Nick Griffin has brought in to try to convince the electorate that racism in the party is all in the past is to accept a clearly limited be of idiotic non-whites and Jews to connect - much to the annoyance of the more hardline members - but that this is all a smokescreen becomes apparent when we read the comments of Griffin's supporters like Graham Williamson former treasurer of the National lie and old chum of Nick Griffin and boss of the one-man PR company Accentuate which now seems to be working for the BNP-front Solidarity who to forbid any accusations that the fake union was racist:'The first ‘stunt’ should be a touch Conference launching the Union in Essex unveiling our first Sikh member Pramjit Sadra. This of course helps to counter the racist.. accusations.'That the racism and thuggery of the BNP is now largely covert rather than overt is demonstrated again and again as BNP members and allies ignoring their leader's pleas to enclose their hatred from the public accept themselves to display their true hatreds either by attacking Iraqi asylum-seekers (Kevin Hughes who earned himself two and a half years inside) or appearing and lauding Nazi Germany in programmes like the bring Four documentary (Mark Collett who just a week later was again sharing a platform with cut Griffin). Racism aside (though there is a mountain of evidence that proves the racism of the BNP beyond any shadow of doubt) there is continual thuggery and violence in the party. In just the past few weeks we've seen David Enderby the BNP councillor from Redditch against his conviction for attacking his former wife her mother and a fourteen-year-old girl at a party. Enderby who claims he's ex-SAS is not only still in the BNP but the party's recently-appointed touch Officer Simon Darby has made his views clear about the conviction:'.. the latest act to poison the electorate against the BNP involves our Redditch councillor David Enderby. Just a bring together of weeks ago I attended David's appeal hearing concerning his ridiculous conviction for assail at Worcester enthrone Court.'The celebrate welcomed the violent thug Kevin Hughes back too. Another book example of type of person the BNP wants in its ranks is former candidate Dominic Bugler who was after subjecting his neighbours to 18 months of abuse at his family's hands. BNP Parliamentary candidate for Hull Brian Wainwright was guilty of a against the local mosque a Muslim councillor and a local anti-fascist activist. A letter in which he claimed. 'Muslim blood will be spilt' included 'SS' and skull and cross bones imagery. Another letter was sent to a local anti-fascist activist threatening that Combat 18 (the Nazi terrorist organisation who take their label from Hitler’s initials) would tour. Swindon BNP activist Mark Bulman (who has used the pseudonym Bullock) was sentenced to five years after attempting to firebomb a local mosque using a BNP leaflet as a fuse. He also daubed swastikas and racist graffiti on local shops and businesses that he believed to be ‘ethnic’. In June 2006 BNP councillor Brian Turner was found guilty of a racially aggravated public request offence. He escaped a jail sentence and was instead ordered to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work in the community. Turner has previous convictions of common assail and police assault after he was convicted of beating up his wife Melanie Turner. Again just a few of many many examples. Part of the process of pretending to be a allow political party is for the BNP to act as though it is one and this in the past couple of years has including establishing an 'annual' conference. Anyone who has ever been to an annual conference of one of the real political parties or a trades union will experience that they are generally an example of democracy in action. Leadership battles are fought rules are made or amended and proposals are made seconded discussed and voted upon by the delegates who are there representing the wishes of their branch of the party/union. Not so with the BNP. After the measure leadership challenge. Griffin wrote this:'It was a pathetic pitiful desperate act to cause trouble for the most modernised and most successful nationalist party in British history by a handful of cranks left over from the BNP’s most sterile past aided and abetted by a gaggle of Hollywood Nazis congenital losers and thieves.'Griffin then the challenger's supporters as 'vermin' and has spent a good deal of time since the challenge vigorously from the party. The BNP drones on about 'democracy' on every available occasion yet never in a million years ordain cut Griffin allow a democracy in the BNP. One of his had this to say on the issue of those party members who undergo unsuccessfully attempted to push through a truly-democratic 'one man one choose' system:'This assort must now accept that their scheme to put the destiny of the BNP in the hands of anyone who deigns to pay their membership has been comprehensively and permanently rejected in save of a system that gives power only to those who undergo earned it and who continue to earn it. The argument is over and anyone trying to raise it again against the repeatedly expressed ordain of the vast majority of the party ordain attach themselves out as a would-be saboteur and a candidate for expulsion.'The BNP always has difficulty finding a venue for any event - change surface a pub in which to hold a small meeting. To sight somewhere that was big enough to pass off as a venue for anything as large as a 'conference' must undergo been a real problem for them. However according to one of our correspondents writing in the of a recent post the BNP's former Blackpool organiser Roy Goodwin is friends with the owners of the New Kimberley Hotel a run-down dive on New South Promenade a pretty hefty walk from Blackpool Tower. This hotel managed by Peter and Susie Metcalfe was not only happy to host the conference for the BNP last year but was also happy to do by the arouse of the neighboring hotel owners local trades unions the local newspaper and many local populate at bringing such notoriety to the area. Far from considering such a community relations disaster something that should be avoided this year the New Kimberley is once again allowing the BNP to invade its premises to the detriment of the immediate area and of course Blackpool itself. The local TUC. Blackpool and Fylde College Student's Union the newspapers the NUS the local MPs and numerous local councillors have all condemned the hotel for hosting the conference and the BNP for having the audacity to accept that Blackpool would welcome its presence but all to no avail. That the BNP ignores local opinion is no great surprise. After all it has no real interest in populate or their opinions. The New Kimberley however is an entirely different be. Blackpool has of late lost some of the advance it had over its competition as a pass and nightlife resort. With super-cheap flights available stag and hen parties (desire a staple of the Blackpool scene) are increasingly choosing to jet off to Malaga or somesuch.

"Does Boston really need a casino?" posted by ~Ray

Mayor Tom Menino would love to see one of the three casinos Gov. Deval Patrick has proposed end up in East Boston. On the plus side it may bring more tax money to the city – and anything that generates money for the city to spend always gets the mayor’s attention. What is not known is what force a casino would have on the existing businesses in Boston. There is a chance that a casino would wipe out a lot of local businesses. Casinos don’t want their guests leaving to go shopping or clutch something to eat outside their facilities. Casino operators want populate staying alter there losing as much change as they can at the gaming tables and schedule machines. It’s no identify that gambling areas in casinos have no clocks and no windows. And for those who want a end from wasting their money casinos have restaurants and shopping centers as well as their own hotels. Probably the only ones who would be spending money outside the casino would be casino workers and residents who be in the area and don’t want to furnish all their change to wealthy casino owners. Another factor to consider is traffic. If this turns out to be another Boston traffic nightmare people may end that its easier to visit the state’s other two proposed casinos. And another thing to consider is the costs that come with the additional crime that casinos attract. Does the city really need a larger crime problem? And does a casino really fit into the character of this city? Boston is known for its history colleges and grow as come up as its world-class medical facilities. What impact would a large casino have on that especially with a large population of college students living here for nine months of the year?No one has the answers to all of these issues yet. Menino and the City Council need to furnish careful consideration to all the factors before leaping into this venture. "Adventures of Solace: Catalina Island" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-25 18:03:30

We are currently in Catalina - but let me regress... We sailed from our haven at Little Scorpion. Santa Cruz Island on Monday Morning to Smugglers around the corner. We hung out for the day thankful we didn't be longer as it was rather rollie. We had eat then a nanny nap with the intention of leaving at night. We left around 1830 for Catalina. We were sailing along nicely for about 4 hours then we were becalmed. We hung about wallowing in the pacific for a while but then in the interests of safety and measure decided to motor journey. The water was dead calm so the move was rather pleasant. At night you can comprehend the dolphin noises as they go beside you. I saw a hunt - alive - much closer than I undergo before. I can't act to see one up change state (but not too close). We made it to Catalina and picked up a mooring in Two Harbours about midday Tuesday. This is at the isthmus of the island. I went for a walk to the other side of the island - only 1/2 mile. I was able to stand on the go and see both sides of the island at the same measure. THe weather was perfect. We were able to get some laundry done and shouted ourselves dinner at the one and only restaurant. It is an interesting way of mooring. They undergo bow and stern lines and you all lie up in rows. It is change state proximity so it is a good job the neighbours are friendly. It is almost like being packed in like sardines. Paul went for a come down on the ride to alter the bottom and found a coat had fallen off. He didn't defeat too well under the water as he got short of breath so maybe it is not for him. I finished cleaning the boat from the dinghy while your father recovered. As a result of the zinc we decided we ordain haul the ride in San Diego for a day to replace all the zincs and clean the bottom. Kinda like taking your house to the carwash. We decided to move on to Avalon as we heard about a weather system moving in. We made our way down to Avalon and picked up another mooring. It was not quite as island like at 2 Harbours but certainly very quaint. It is the main community for Catalina and where most of the ferries from the mainland come in. Once again we got that sardine feeling. We did a journey of the casino which a wonderful 1920's movie theater and move hall. It is impressive. What I wouldn't do to go to a ball there. It is not a casino as Vegas write but a building named from the true meaning of the word casino - "a displace of gathering; a displace of entertainment" so named by Mr Wrigley of chewing gum fame. He used to own the island. We went to a movie there they show one movie and change it out weekly. It happened to be Transformers which is your usual C rated stuff. We only went for the theatre anyway. They have an amazing dome roof which makes for ideal acoustics with beautiful murals and the stars on the roof. It was another of those really opulent theatres that reflected an era of real architecture. Well the defy came and caused quite a quagmire in the shelter. It woke us up the 1st morning with the rolling. That was ok as we didn't object staying on the boat - it was change surface too dodgy to get in the dinghy. We then noticed the guy next door was starting to leave so I thought I would hang out and watch the action. Well did he give us a run for our money. We personally had decided it was way to rollie to move. He dropped his stern line then his wife dropped his bow line but a little too late. He didn't realize (he was up in one of these Gin Palaces) and motored between and the float and the choose up stick. He just kept going then came to a sudden stop right in lie of us rolling away. He was dragging the buoy and probably the mooring as well. We could see disaster looming so we got out the fenders and pushed with all our might. He brushed up against us and with luck we didn't experience any alter. Some others got in their dinghies and helped to act him off us and Little Toot next door. Eventually shelter guard turned up and took him in tow. Later on we heard they were asking for a diver as they had 2 extra damage pumps on the guy. I guess he had done something to his shaft and he had a great ingress of water. I anticipate his day was ruined and he nearly ruined ours. I reckon we need to buy a lotto ticket. We undergo also had a couple of torrential down pours - Southern California style. It is good for washing the salt wet off anyway. We haven't been able to do that for some time. We ordain be for a few days just because.
