A snapshot analyse by Which? found in-store "beat before" dates were on add up one day later than the same products ordered from their websites.

Which? researchers bought 10 grocery items from Tesco. Sainsbury's. Asda and Waitrose stores.
They booked online deliveries of the same products from the same supermarkets plus Ocado which delivers Waitrose goods to arrive on the same day as their shop visits.
"Our snapshot research in October open that on add up the stores' best-before dates are more than a day later than for the same products bought online," Which? magazine said.
Products bought in stores with longer best-before dates than the equivalent items ordered online included plums carrots potatoes and salad.
None of the food chains surveyed performed worse than the others overall. Which? pointed out.
