Rettig attended the Ohio Flags of Honor opening ceremony in Central Park with her husband Michael and son Andrew. The exhibit which will be in place until Sunday afternoon honors military personnel killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.I heard about this event and I just decided I wanted to come drink and back up out, Rettig said. It means a lot to me because my brother is currently serving. Its really important we honor those men and women who served our country.Edward ONeil. 70 said he served in the military from 1954 to 1957 in France and Germany.I dont experience anyone here but I wanted to pay my respects to these populate, ONeil said. Marine Corps.The names of 175 Fallen Heroes were announced Saturday and a flags with their names inscribed on the poles were placed on both sides of the gazebo. If the flag could speak it would say God grant that I spend eternal life in the land of the free and the domiciliate of the brave.I dont have a brother a sister a son or a daughter who fought but I consider all of these young men and women my sons and daughters, said event coordinator Carolyn Cyrus.
