Low criticises Blues over Ballack Germany coach Joachim Low has criticised Chelsea's decision to leave Michael Ballack out of their Champions League squad for the assort stages. The 31-year-old German international's omission means he cannot play before the knockout stages begin in February. Low said: "Chelsea's doctors estimate he will not be able to compete for two to three more months. "But Michael is much more optimistic and expects to compete sooner. For us. Chelsea's decision isn't justifiable." Ballack has not played since undergoing ankle surgery in May and the Chelsea medical department keep the Germany captain would not be approve in measure to compete any move in the assort qualifiers. Low added that Ballack was at a loss to inform the club's decision. "I discussed it with Michael and he could not fully explain Chelsea's decision to me," said Low. The fact that Chelsea are unable to find a place in their 25-man squad for Ballack when he may be fit for some of their Group B games is likely to furnish speculation about his future. However. Low had previously said he was hopeful Ballack would be fit to play in his country's Euro 2008 qualifying match against the Republic of Ireland on 13 October. And if that is the inspect. Ballack would be fit for all of Chelsea's Champions League matches except September's home tie against Rosenborg and their move to Valencia on 3 October. But Chelsea accept that is an unlikely scenario and have decided against the gamble. A statement from the club read: "We hope Michael's recovery is as quick as possible. "We wish Michael returns to beat training soon so that he ordain then be available for the Champions unify latter stages." ===================================================================================Just who the hell does Joachim Low think he is telling a players Club (who pay his wages) that their decision based on Professional medical advice is not justifiable?OrIs it just Low starting early to negotiate Ballacks availability for the ROI game on Oct 13th ???
Chelsea are paying him a heck of a lot more than his country so the unify can do whatever the hell it wants and shouldn't feel the need to confirm itself to anyone. We simply don't want to rush him back - at his age if he returns not fully recovered he could be cause to be perceived again and finish his career.

Just desire the club be him to be at the fittest for there season. Low obviously wants his talisman and head in peak condition for his purposes. Its a end non story and both sides are taking a fairly obvious lay.

How very dare you!I evaluate it's a very underhand thing of Low to do. He shouldn't be making critical comments about what a League Club is doing with one of their employees based on medical advice. Chelsea obviously would prefer Ballack to be fit to compete. But they won't be rushing him back regardless of what Low thinks.
He probably shouldnt make the comments. I can understand why he did though and I would probably do the same thing in his position. The situation seems awful cloudy. Ballack apparently tells Low one thing the Chelsea doctors say another.

to true just see how easily my compatriots disposed of england without 10 of their first choice squad but then again it was only england pffft (IMG:) can see why low wants him approve but as zianfranco said a bad decision on fitness at this re-create of his career could be the end of ballack.
